Grants

The RPLC makes grants to over 1,000 Organisations and Individuals each year. 

Crisis Grants

Crisis Grants are made to individuals in extreme need following a referral from local agencies.

Winter Fuel Grants

Grants of £50, payable to utility companies, are made in January/February each year, to over 600 local pensioners in receipt of benefits.

 

APPLYING FOR A GRANT

Organisations receiving core grants from the RPLC must apply by the deadlines set out in the documents attached below and use the new application form.

Our current principal Strategic Priority is 'Community initiatives in Ham and Mortlake'.  A specific application form for applications in this category will be available shortly.

If you are applying for a grant that is new or a one-off application, and it does not fall within our recent Strategic Priorities your application will not be considered until January - June 2009.

Please be sure that you have filled in all sections and that you have enclosed all the documents requested.  For applications seeking £500 or less there is a different form:

If your organisation is undertaking a new or one off project you will need to complete the specific or one off project form detailed above. This project form must accompany your grant application form.

How the charity will deal with your application
When your application is received, it will be evaluated and any queries arising from it will be followed up. You may be assured that all eligible applications will be put before the Trustees.


There are currently 15 Trustees all of whom live within the benefit area. Three of them are nominated by the Borough Council, five are nominated by local voluntary organisations and the remainder are co-opted from the community. The Mayor is an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees.

Trustees meet at regular intervals throughout the year. All eligible applications  will be put before the Grants Committee. Smaller grants of up to £2,500 may be approved by the Director / Deputy Director when they are received.

Application Timetable for New Grants and Education Projects

From January 2007 all organisations receiving core grants on an annual basis now have a specified date for submission of their applications. Click the link to download the list of deadlines:

You will be advised by letter within fourteen days of the meeting whether or not your application has been successful. Following agreement for a grant you will be sent a Conditions of Grant form setting out the terms and conditions of the grant. Payment will be arranged on receipt of a signed agreement. A Monitoring and Evaluation Form will also be required on completion of your next application form.
