RPLC Trustees visiting Mortlake

Key Strategic Priority from July 2008

The RPLC Trustees have made support for community initiatives in Ham and Mortlake their key strategic priority for the financial year running from July 2008 - June 2009.

Community Development Workers
The RPLC has been working closely with Darren Thornton (Mortlake Community Development Co-ordinator); Lucy Byrne (Ham Community Development Co-ordinator); and Becky White (Community Development Worker) in assessing the community needs of Ham and Mortlake.

RPLC Trustee Away Day to Ham & Mortlake
In April 2008 the RPLC Trustees spent a day visiting different community programmes in Mortlake and Ham and met with representatives of voluntary sector organisations, service users and residents in the two areas.   The purpose of the day was to gather background information that may be helpful to the discussions around 'Strategic Priority' grant applications in the financial year commencing July 2008.

Applications under the 'Strategic Priority' heading

The RPLC is looking for applications from any organisation currently working in the Ham and Mortlake areas.  Ideally the applicants should have been in touch with, or work alongside Community Development Workers.  Evidence will be required that shows clearly the commitment of the applicant organisation to effective delivery of services to the local community.
