Council completes Voluntary Sector review

The Council has announced that Grants Direct will be taken back in-house and procedures will be put in place for this to happen during 2008.

Recent Events

July 2008
Grant applications for the new strategic priority of 'Initiatives in Ham and Mortlake' can be submitted now.  To access an application form, click on 'Priority Grants' in the Site Menu on the left of this page.

June 2008
Over £900,000 has been distributed in grants since July 2007. Over £200,000 has been given to applications related to the RPLC's current strategic priority - the support of mental health initiatives.

14 May 2008 - New RPLC Trustee
Jonathan Brewer, who has been a co-opted member of the Education Committee for three years, has been appointed a Trustee of the RPLC.

22 April 2008 - Mortlake and Ham priorities
RPLC Trustees visited Mortlake and Ham to see voluntary sector organisations and meet key personalities working in support of the local community.  Trustees have identified Ham and Mortlake as priority areas for grant funding in the financial year July 2008 - June 2009.

21 November 2007 – Annual General Meeting

The Annual Public Meeting of the RPLC was held at the Vestry Hall, 21 Paradise Road, Richmond from 7.00pm – 8.30pm. The Chairman of Trustees, Jeff Harris, gave a short introduction to the Annual Report. There were presentations from recipients of the Youth Disability Awards made in the last 12 months.

13 November 2007 – 2nd Meeting of the Mental Health Forum
This was an open meeting to discuss Mental Health priorities within the LBRuT.  The meeting took place in the Vestry Hall.

September 2007 – 3rd Meeting of the Youth Disability Forum
Representatives of 9 local organisations with specific interest in youth disability issues met at the Octagon Gallery to report back on the projects which had received funding from the RPLC during the last 12 months. Over £70,000 was awarded to initiatives that supported creative, artistic and recreational activities for disabled young people.

January 2007 – New application submission dates
From January 2007 all organisations receiving core grants on an annual basis now have a specified date for submission of their applications. Click the following link to download the application deadlines for individual organisations.
