Plans are being considered for 3 year grants dependent on submission of a satisfactory annual monitoring and evaluation form. For some organisations a 'grant holiday' will mean they will receive no, or reduced, funding in the fourth year when they will be required to submit a full application once more. This will enable additional funds to be made available for strategic priority grants or other new projects seeking funding. It is hoped that this strategy will also encourage organisations to be less dependent on the RPLC for funds and seek new sources of income.
If you are applying for a grant that is new or a one-off application, and it does not fall within our recent strategic priorities your application will not be considered until January each year.
How the charity will deal with your application
When your application is received, it will be evaluated and any queries arising from it will be followed up. you may be assured that all eligible applications will be put before the trustees. There are currently 15 trustees all of whom live within the benefit area. three of them are nominated by the borough council, five are nominated by local voluntary organisations and the remainder are co-opted from the community. the mayor is an ex officio member of the board of trustees. You will be advised by letter within fourteen days of the meeting whether or not your application has been successful. Following agreement for a grant you will be sent a conditions of grant form setting out the terms and conditions of the grant. payment will be arranged on receipt of a signed agreement. A monitoring and evaluation form will also be required on completion of your next application form.
